The QS list is released every year in June and comprehensively evaluates the universities across the globe and ranks them based on their performance. 2022's edition of QS ranking is the largest ever evaluation undertaken as it has covered 1,418 institutions across hundred countries analysing 16.4 million papers, 99,000 employers and 151,0000 teachers. Although there were some addition and deletion in the names of universities compared to those in the previous year's list, mostly the names were similar.
The basis of QS analysis depends on academic reputation, performance, teacher ratio to student ratio, faculty members, and the number of scholars who have completed their studies and landed jobs. These factors were well-represented by German universities this year, and the results are evident. As a result, German universities have consistently performed well in the QS rankings, with 22 institutions in the top 200 in 2021's edition of the QS ranking.
So, much remains to choose from and study in German universities for international students. Munich's Technical university lies in the two-best ranked institution, followed by Ludwig's Maximilians university – both secured 49th and 50th positions in the GS ranking list.
