Once you have shortlisted at least 8-12 institutes where you wish to apply and checked all requirements thoroughly, you can fill out the application form. Many institutes use the online application platform Uni-ssist.de for applications. Meanwhile, others run their own admission portal, while some institutes might ask you to apply on their website in addition to UniAssist.de.

Most institutes in Germany charge a non-refundable application fee of approx. €50-120 (approx. INR 4056-9800). However, if you use the Uni-assist.de service, you must pay €75 (approx. INR 6083) for certificate assessment and preliminary documents review for your first study choice. For every additional application to other courses, you must pay €30 (approx. INR 2433).
